Crazy buildings around the world

It may look more like a giant sail than a hotel, but the bizarrely shaped building is actually the new W Hotel in Barcelona, which opens today (1 October)

Sitting right next to the entrance of the Port of Barcelona, the building has been affectionately dubbed the “Barcelona Sail Hotel” by locals, and is set to become an iconic fixture on the city’s skyline.

To celebrate its opening, we look at some of the world’s other magnificently weird buildings, from the surreally beautiful to the flat-out crazy!
